lyrics

Steady your mind.
Push out the pain.
Enact your resolution

Back to the hilltop
Eyes forward, don’t stop
Soldier, take my arm show me the way
My vision is fading
Mind scattered it’s racing
Pressing weight on the crimson stain that spreads with each breathe I pass

My sight is slowly fading,
I feel the darkness closing in.
My heartbeat faintly racing,
I feel that this shall be my end.
These words,
Shall stand a testament.
For in death in there is glory.
In peace i shall transcend.

Blood pooling.
Death looming.
The hourglass is turned and my moments are numbered.
There is no escape, this wound seals my fate.
I will not be unheard as my soul fades to grey.

My sight is slowly fading,
I feel the darkness closing in.
My heartbeat faintly racing,
I feel that this shall be my end.
These words,
Shall stand a testament.
For in death in there is glory.
In peace i shall transcend.

Embarked across Europe,
these words were traversed.
To the hands of his son,
who’s voice trembled when versed.

“Father, please hear me!
There is no peace in death.
Grief clouding my conscious,
darkness rises instead.”

This fight is not mine
This pain cuts to bone
Now I must face death in a land far from home

With fear as my bridle.
Tears fall from my face.
My father.
Forgive me.
For weak is my faith.
